Founded EKTOS in 2012. Having had worked in the McDonald’s system in the 90’s as a finance and operations Director for Seattle area Franchisees, Larry introduced and managed the roll out of what is currently the greatest number of installed EMS systems for McDonald’s, representing over 10% of the chain’s US restaurants. Larry brings 30 years of experience building business, including taking a retail company in the 80’s big box craze from $3M to $110M as its CFO and managed the company’s venture financing and IPO.
Larry is experienced with financings, building international joint ventures, establishing original equipment manufacturer relationships, team building and M&A activities.
VP of Operations
Rustin has over 8 years in the restaurant EMS industry. Part of his background is in-the-field experience of installing of several hundred restaurant EMS systems. In his current role as VP of Operations, Rustin is involved in nearly every aspect of the company’s product delivery and services to its restaurant customers. He is a Schneider Electric certified BAS technician and, with his extensive experience in the field leading hundreds of EKTOS projects nationwide, Rustin provides an unique balance of practical and creative knowledge for the team.
Rustin also had first-hand experience working in one of the most prestigious hotel restaurants in Waikiki, HI for Marriott. His knowledge of restaurant challenges and operations serves as the foundation for many of the products and services EKTOS provides.
Director of Customer Service
In addition to her management experience at Bob Evans Restaurants, a national chain of over 600 locations, Karen has over 15 years in the restaurant EMS industry with a strong background in customer relations and support. She specializes in techniques for managing multi-site businesses, and provides valuable operations and repair insight to our customers and their technicians.
Karen’s results-oriented approach helps our customers achieve their highest goals or energy efficiency. Her knowledge of our customers and their restaurants allows her to build close relationships with our clients and become a valuable part of their organizations.
Director of Product Development
Delane has over 9 years in the restaurant EMS industry. He has considerable experience in systems management and building operations. His passion for Information Technology, and its benefits to energy efficiency, drives the EVIA product line to be one of the most technologically advanced in the industry.
Delane specializes in developing concepts and coding complex energy efficiency algorithms for EVIA. His work produces one of the most functional and easily supportable solutions available for restaurants today.
Director of Systems Engineering
Ali has over 7 years in the restaurant EMS industry and brings a variety of specialization in systems architecture, development and deployment. His experience in IT leadership brings great ideas and organization to the development of EKTOS, and his engineering background allows him to produce sensible and innovative designs to the system architecture.
Ali studied physics and advanced computing at the University of Washington, and is a Schneider Electric certified BAS Engineer. His knowledge of systems integration and networking have made it possible for EKTOS to deliver and support solutions nationwide.
Director of Marketing
Karli began her tenure in the Energy Industry in 2006 as a Paralegal in the Energy & Utilities Practice Group at K&L Gates. For EKTOS, she built the Company’s data base for utility incentives specific to EKTOS EMS, and lobbied for more incentives nation-wide and globally.
Her extensive combination of experiences in energy conservation, the evolving energy industry, data management and interpersonal relations bring a wide influence to EKTOS. Her responsibilities range from managing the presentation of customer energy data, the website, media relations, and guiding the direction of new company products and services.
